BA Economics (Bachelor of Arts in Economics)
This course prepares candidates for the fulfilling world of accounts, retail, sales, finance and tax in the public, business, or industrial sector. Candidates are trained to analyze the ups and downs of the financial market, pursue independent research, use complex statistical data, contribute to social issues and specialize in qualitative and quantitative research methods. Theoretical knowledge, technical skills to perform high quality analyses and exposure to the institutional, developmental and ecological aspects of the economy are highlighted during the course. Candidates who are curious about the world’s economy and about how the finances in an economy increase and grow will find this course interesting. The course includes principles of economic theory, micro- and macroeconomics, comparative economic systems, money and banking systems, international economics and quantitative analytical methods and their applications to specific industries and public policy issues.
